French carved wood bookends in the form of sailors with capstan detail. Each are hand signed Luxeuil and dated 24.2.40. Each measures 8x5x8 inches (20x13x20cm) and have a Hagenauer styling to them. Condition is good.

Stylised Dog Bookends by Dankarmer
French stylised dog carved from macassar ebony mounted on an amboyne wood base. The dog has green enamelled eye detail and is signed to the base Dankarmer Paris. Each measures 4.5 inches wide by 2.5 deep by 5.5 high (11.5cm x 6.5 x 14). Condition is excellent. I have 2 other items by this same artist - an elephant statue and a fish with chromed bronze fins.
