Bronze Deco Plaques
A set of 3 identical bronze cast plaques depicting doves amongst foliage and deco motifs, possibly originally decorative pieces for a large piece of furniture or maybe from a building. Stamped to the reverse with a monogram and number. Apparently unsigned but in the style of Jouanneault or Thenot or even possibly Bouraine. Very good condition with just some ageing spots to the patina. Size to be confirmed but approximately 9 inches (22cm) high and 7 inches (18cm) wide.

Egyptian Queen Bronze Plaque by Bourdelle
Bronze panel of an Egyptian queen by Antoine Bourdelle. Probably originally made as appliques for a piece of furniture. The actual plaque measures 5 inches by 4.5 inches (12.5cm x 11.5cm). Antoine Bourdelle (31 October 1861 - 1 October 1929), born Emile Antoine Bordelles, was an influential and prolific French sculptor, painter, and teacher. His studio became the Musee Bourdelle, an art museum dedicated to his work, located at 18, rue Antoine Bourdelle, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, France. See my information on artists page for more information on this important artist. Currently awaiting framing, I have 2 of these same plaques available.

Policeman Car Mascot by John Hassall
Rare 1917 English Policeman car mascot made by and signed Hassall. Silvered bronze with a pottery head. The artist Hassall created him, and called it - not surprisingly - 'Robert'. Robert could be made to change position by tilting the head and helmet. Distributed through Smith's Motor Accessories it was marketed as 'the funniest mascot on the market'. He also made an airplane with a pilot which had the same head. He measures 4.5 inches high (11.5cm). In good vintage used condition.
