Large Female Spelter Figures 10

Girl and Deer Group by Chiparus
Large French spelter group - an unsigned Chiparus. I have several of this same statue and the others are signed. The base is of portorro marble and brown onyx and measures a large 30.5 inches long and 7.5 inches deep (77 x 19cm). Condition is good but the larger deer has a slight mark to his back leg which is possibly a fracture.

'Friends' by Cipriani
A nice French gold gilded spelter lady (16 inches high) and borzoi dog, mounted on a 23 inch Portorro marble base with the signature 'U. Cipriani' on one end. The condition is very good with a few minor edge nicks. I have several of this lady figure with other animals - please email me for pics of the others.

'Twins' by Uriano
Pretty spelter twins sitting by a pond watching the ducklings, both wearing dark green dresses with gilt detail. Base is made of white striated black marble with cream and green onyx centre section to represent water. Signed to the base Uriano. Measurements are approximate and from memory I would guess about 20 inches long by 5 deep by 9 high ( 51 x 13 x 23cm). Condition is good.

Group Atalante by De Marco
This is the largest version of this group and the lady was designed by De Marco, and the antelope is by Max Le Verrier. Green/blue patinated spelter figures mounted in a wedge shaped base which is of carved stone. Le Verrier also produced this group in a smaller version and the lady and deer individually as separate pieces in the larger size, also producing the deer in smaller size as bookends. This large version measures 28 inches (71cm) high, 40 inches (120cm) long and 5.5 inches (14cm) deep. Signed in the stone. Condition is very good with just some expected age wear to the patina. Both figures lift easily from the base.

Ref: F1187 . . . £2,650

This green patinated French spelter lady is signed S. Melani. She measures approximately 17 inches high to the top of the birds head and sits on a 22 inch long marble base. The condition is very good. The bird can be removed from her hand for shipping.

Large Statue by Balleste
Huge French spelter seated lady by Enrique Molins-Balleste (Spanish artist who worked in France). Signed Balleste to the back of the statue. Lady has a silver patina with wonderful original dinanderie patterning to the dress and scarf. She is sitting on a base of black marble with cream onyx panels. She measures approximately 26.5 inches high, 28 inches long and 5 inches deep (67cm x 71cm x 13cm). Condition is vintage and used and the lady is very good.
