Large Female Spelter Figures 2

'Danse Paienne' by Derenne
This is the large version of this 1930's Le Verrier art metal statue (I also have the smaller version). She was designed by Marcel Bouraine and is signed Derenne being a pseudonym used by Bouraine. She has a green patina and measures approximately 18.5 inches high and 14 inches wide (47 x 36cm) including the black marble base and is holding glass discs. Condition is very good.

Ref: F1376 . . . £1,495

The Fountain
A French silvered spelter lady and deer group on a wedge shaped base. The deer is leaping over a fountain head while the lady leans across the rock to him. The base is of brown and black Belgian marble and measures 23 inches long and 4 inches deep. Height is 12.5 inches and it is an unsigned piece but probably by Limousin. Condition is good.

Ref: F572 . . . £585

Signed Lady and Deer Group
Classical Dianne and deer French spelter figure group with a green/brown patina. Signed 'Ouline', mounted on a black marble base 23.5 inches by 6.5 inches. The figure sits 13.5 inches high and weighs 34 pounds (16 kilos)

This hunter is called Atalante and she is by De Marco, although this one is apparently unsigned. She measures a total of 28 inches (71cm) high including the bow and the base measures 5.5 inches (14cm) square. Condition is very good with just a few minor marks to the marble base.

'Amities' by Limousin
French spelter kneeling lady figure holding berries for a pair of deer. On a 21.5 inch long portorro marble base with green onyx intersections. An unsigned Limousin made by Poccard Freres (Poccard and Richoux) in Paris circa 1925.

Ref: F186 . . . £295

French Spelter Group
Beautiful spelter lady and deer with silver patina holding a fawn. approximately 20 inches tall on a 23 x 4 inch base of onyx and portorro marble with green intersections. Weight 24 pounds.

Amazone au Javelot by Le Faguays
Dark green patinated Le Verrier art metal statue. This is the larger version of amazone aux javelot, made in the early 1930's. THis is a very unusual one as they are usually marked NAC, this one is marked NAC and also signed Le Faguays and this is the first time I have seen one actually signed Le Faguays and not Fayral. Fayral was a pseudonym used by him on most of his art metal pieces. She measures 24 inches total height (61cm). The stone base measures 10.75 inches long by 6.5 deep (28cm x 16.5). The lady lifts out of the base and the spear is removable for transporting. Condition is very good.

Ref: F1562 . . . £2,295

Diane and Dogs by Uriano
Large French art deco spelter figural group of Diane the Huntress with dogs. They stand on a base of portorro and brown marble base with green onyx inserts. Signed Uriano to the end of the base - I believe a pseudonym used by Ugo Cipriani. The base measures 28 inches long by 7 inches deep and the total height of the statue is 21 inches (71cm x 17.5cm x 54cm). The lady has a silvered spelter patina and a dinanderie patterned dress and sash. In good vintage used condition.

Ref: F3028 . . . £895

Toga Dancer by Carlier
French art deco spelter Toga dancer group statue, mounted on a marble and onyx base. It measures 16 inches long by 3.75 inches deep by 14 inches high (41cm s 9.5cm x 36cm). Signed on the right hand end of the base Carlier. In good vintage condition with a few age related patina marks as one would expect after 90+ years.
