Medals and Mascots

Indian Car Mascot
I believe this wonderful amber celluloid Indian head with chrome body is from a 1954 Pontiac Chieftain and measures a large 18 inches by 8.5 inches (46x21cm). Mounted on a 15 inch diameter, circular black lacquered wood base. Good chrome and with some internal crackling to the celluloid head, possibly original to the piece and meant to be there?

Ref: M956 . . . £395

Butlins Car Badge
This metal plaque was made I believe in the 1950s and reads Butlins Car Club. It shows a lady on a dolphin and the back ground is in blue and red enamel paint. It measures approx. 4.5 inches high by 3.5 inches wide (11.5cm x 9cm). Condition is vintage and used but good.

American Petrol Pump
Original 1940s - 1950s American petrol pump made by the Bennett pump company. All original apart from the top advertising globe which is a reproduction. It has been renovated but still shows a few signs of ageing and a little rust as one would expect. It measures approximately 6 feet tall (tbc). More info tbc.

Ref: M4325 . . . £3,200

Cadillac Rocket Lady Car Mascot
This stylised chrome flying lady is a 1955 Cadillac car mascot. Now removed from the car it is mounted on an ovular black wooden and chrome base. It measures a total length of 15 inches (38cm). Condition is very good for an item that has spent 55 years on the bonnet of a car. However there a few expected spots to the chrome as one would expect.
Recently hired out for the filming of Kingsman 2.

Ref: M1994 . . . £595

A large 3 inch diameter. French bronze medal. A lovely detailed medal with cars, lorries, people and even a scooter in the background. Apparently a medal for road safety. A signed piece by R. Turin. Condition is very good.

Les Vieux Du Volant by Perot
A rare enamelled metal plaque, probably originally a car badge, titled Les Vieux Du Volant and signed Perot. It is dated 1914 and stamped 1330, possibly a rally badge. Very stylised and geometric, it measures 4 inches tall by 3.25 wide (10cm x 8). Condition is vintage and used with some wear to the red enamelling on his glove and some minor wear to the silvering of the patina. Would look fabulous if framed.
