'Trinkende' The Drinker by Seifert
The largest version of this lovely bronze nude by Victor Heinrich Seifert a German sculptor. This one mounted on a circular stepped marble base and measuring approximately 27 inches (68cm) high and the base marble socle has a diameter of 8 inches (20cm). This statue was produced from around 1905 and was made in the 3 sizes (I also own the two other sizes of her). It is signed to the bronze Prof. V. H. Seifert. Similar piece can be seen in the Berman book vol 1 on page 26/27. Seifert was born in 1870 in Austria and died in 1953. See my info on artists section. This statue is in good vintage condition but there are two chips to the edge of the marble socle to the back where it meets the bronze socle. Email me for more pictures if required.
