Ice Cream Sundae by Walery
An original Art Deco Folies Bergere photograph of a theatrical performance in 1931. I have been lucky enough to have found a collection of old original French art deco theatrical photos dating to the 1920s - 1930s. This is an official original photo by Walery and it is certified with a stamp to the reverse - Photographie Walery. He was an official photographer for the Folies Bergere. He is also famous for his saucy risque nude pictures of the Folies ladies which he published under the pseudonym of Laryew as he could not risk his reputation as a family photographer. We have many Laryew nudes photogravures on site. This photograph shows a group of girls in frilly costumes standing in an ice cream sundae cup. Its title is Ballet Bleu and it is dated march 1931. The photo measures 11.5 inches by 9.5 inches (32cm x 24cm). It is in very good condition. Excellent for framing. Email me for more pics quoting the ref number.

Rare French art deco columbine lady, signed to the base L. Fontinelle and marked under the base Paris. A rare piece with a crackle glaze finished coloured base detail. She measures 4.25 inches (10.5cm) square to the base and the total height is 14.25 inches high (36cm). In good vintage condition.

Hand painted art deco perfume lamp, signed to the side indistinctly Liane and marked under the base Loone sur mer - made in France. I believe a Limogue company. She measures 12 inches (31cm) high. Inside is a bulb holder and there is a hole in the top torchere she is holding which would have held a glass perfume file. In excellent condition. Rewired.

Ref: CH1642 . . . £695

Mottled 2-tone blue drip glaze ceramic vase with bronze base ring and top ring with attached bronze floral deco motif. Very good condition with just two minor areas of glaze loss primarily behind the bronze floral emblem. The top ring and emblem is just loosely fitted to the vase rim and not fixed. The matching bottom ring is fixed. It measures 12 inches (30cm) high. Signed Moderna to the leafs of the bronze rose mount.

Art Deco Panther Bookends
Large Belgian cubist art deco ceramic craquelier panther bookends. Signed indistinctly to the side Lemenceau and marked under the base St Clement. Considered by collectors of craquelier items as the ultimate panther bookends. Similar can be seen in the Keramische book on page 91. They each measure 10 inches long by 3 inches deep by 8.5 inches high (25.5cm x 7.5cm x 21.5cm). Condition is ok but not perfect. There are approx 12 glaze chips, a slither chip to one corner and a hairline on one back leg which does not go completely around the end and is not live.

Surprise by Guerbe
A very rare version of this piece know as Surprise by Guerbe. Guerbe was the wife of Pierre Le Faguays. This piece is normally seen as a vide pooch dish. I can only presume this is a very early one made before it was made as a dish version. I have never seen another with a marble base, but the piece is genuine and as it should be. It measures 4.5 inches long by 7.5 inches high (11.5cm x 219cm). In excellent vintage condition and although unsigned, definitely by Guerbe.
