Cubist Art Deco Cats Clock
Silvered bronze cubist cats looking at a bird on a cushion to the top of the clock. The clock case is in brown veined onyx and the face and detailing is silvered bronze, as are the figures - with a cat to either end and love birds sitting on a cushion on the top. The quality of this clock is exceptional and I believe it is either by Lavroff or Bouraine - although it is unsigned. It measures 24.75 inches long by 4.25 inches deep by 11 inches high (63cm x 10.5cm x 28cm). We understand the clock has been recently serviced and it is ticking. It comes with its original pendulum and key. Condition is vey good with just a few tiny marble nicks as one would expect after 90+ years. I also have a clock set of this same item with sider garnitures and brown onyx case (CL849)

Diane Clock by Uriano
French Art Deco modernist spelter and ivorine (bow) Diane the Huntress clock. An unsigned piece by Uriano (Ugo Cipriani). It measures 23 inches wide by 21 inches high by 8 inches deep (58.5cm x 53.5cm x 20cm). Condition is extremely good and we have had it working.

Ref: CL904 . . . £1,695

Bronze Ladies Clock Set
French art deco clock set with 2 bronze silhouette ladies flanked on either side of the clock face. The clock is made of Rosso and verdegre marble with cream onyx detail. The clock measures 19.5 inches long by 4.5 inches deep by 12 inches high (50cm x 11.5cm x 30cm). The matching side garnitures each measure 8.5 inches high by 6 inches wide by 4 inches deep (22cm x 15cm x 10cm). We have had the clock working.

Double Rams Glass clock by Model
French art deco double rams clock by Maurice Model. Signed to the back and circa 1930. The clock has been fitted with a modern quartz movement at some time. It measures 19 inches wide by 9 inches high by 3.5 inches deep (48cm x 23cm x 9cm).
Very little is known about the French artist - Maurice Model. He produced fabulous glass items during the 1930s. His glass-works were based at Verdun, North East of Paris, and his production lasted for less than 10 years, so the pieces are very rare and highly sought after. The majority of his items were produced for export only to USA and Japan, which is remarkable for any glass producing factory in France during the Art Deco period. Condition is good with a couple of small grazes to the glass.

'Lively Harlequin' by Bouraine
A wonderful silvered bronze theatrical dancer by Marcel Bouraine. The famous harlequin - she is dancing with a tricorn hat and a mask in her hand, and a clowns head on her foot. Total height is 15 inches (38cm) and the base is of Rosso Red marble in a pyramid shape. Signed Bouraine to the base, there is also a date inscribed on the back 1933-1943 which might suggest that is was presented to someone as a gift for service rendered. It is also stamped bronze under the foot. Condition is very good and original.

Ref: F837 . . . £3,695

Art Deco Panther by Leduce
Large French art deco green patinated spelter panther on a rock. A signed piece - signed in the metal Leduce. Mounted on an ovular black marble base. It measures 22.5 inches long by 6.5 inches deep by 11 inches high (57cm x 16cm x 28cm). In good vintage condition.

Ref: F3095 . . . £895

Lady and Goats by Chiparus
A large French spelter lady and goats group, signed in the black marble base D.H. Chiparus, and measuring nearly 30 inches long (75cm) and 14.5 inches high (37cm). Condition is good, with no damage or repairs, but with some expected ageing to the patina.

Ref: F951 . . . £965

'Danse Paienne' by Derenne
This lovely green patinated art metal statue was made by the Le Verrier foundry in the 1930's. She is known as Danse Paienne. Derenne was a pseudonym used by Marcel Bouraine. She measures approximately 11 inches high (28cm) and is in good original condition with a little age wear to the patina. Signed to the base metal Derenne.

Ref: F3090 . . . £695

Chiparus Spelter Group
A large French spelter group, mounted on a white striated, black marble base measuring 33.5 inches long by 6.5 inches wide and 14.5 inches high. The figures still retain much of their original patina with some wear due to age and I believe there is a small goat missing which would explain a couple of black dots in the base. I have another of this figure which has a pair of goats, the larger at the back and a smaller goat to the front. The base is signed D.H Chiparus and condition is good with just a few minor marble nicks.

Ref: F964 . . . £895

The Hunt by Demetre Chiparus
1930s French art deco spelter group of a man and panther - its title is The Hunt. It can be seen in volume 1, Chiparus book on page 59. This same statue was also made in bronze but the bronze version is very rare. The same male was also produced on his own without the panther and his title was The Hunter. The panther was also produced on its own in both spelter and bronze. This spelter version is mounted on a portorro marble base - it is signed to the right hand end - D.H. Chiparus. It measures 36 inches long by 34 inches high to the top of his spear and the base is 6 inches deep (92cm x 86.5cm x 15cm). These hunt statues are now proving hard to find.
