Tazza and Candlestick Set by Royal Dux
A large flower tazza dish supported by a trio of semi nude girls. This very rare piece is marked Dupoma and Czech under the bases. Made by Royal Dux for Dupoma. These lovely hand painted tazzas do not come up for sale very often, in fact I have not had one for many years now. But this one is even rarer as it has two matching candle sticks with the ladies holding smaller flowers. This was a rare three piece set which came from the USA and was given to the previous owners family as a wedding gift from a Russian aristocrat in the late 1920s - early 1930s. I have never seen the candle sticks before. The Tazza measures 8 inches high by 10 inches diameter (20cm x 25cm). The condition of this piece is very good with just one tiny edge chip to one petal. The candle sticks are again hand painted and bear Czech and Dupoma marks to the base. They each measure 7 inches high (17.5cm). They have been used and as such have a few old edge nibbles to the flowers and some candle and burn marks to the top holes from use.
