Craquelier page 3

Clown a la Boule by Marcel Bouraine
French cream ceramic craquelier of Clown a la Boule by Marcel Bouraine. Made in the late 1920s by the Le Verrier foundry and signed to the base M. Bouraine. It measures 18 inches long by 11 inches high by 5 inches deep (46cm x 28cm x 12.5cm). This same statue was made in Le Verrier art metal as a table lamp (I have one for sale). In almost perfect condition but for one tiny chip to the left hand corner and a graze on the point of one foot.

French Kangaroo Desk Tidy
White terracotta kangaroo with crackle glaze and pink-purple wash glazed base which has sections for pens etc and you can put an eraser in its pouch. Marked France under the base and bearing the signature Ganucheo. The item bears all the characteristics of a Primavera or Charles Harva piece and to one corner of the base, is an unglazed square which probably originally bore the label. It measures 12 inches high, 10.5 inches long and 4 inches deep (31 x 27 x 10cm). Condition is good but it does have 2 firing cracks under the base in the corners from manufacture.

Measures approx. 25 inches long, 5 inches high and 5 inches deep. (64cm x 13cm x 13cm).

Large Glacier Polar Bear
I believe this bear to be possibly by Michael Andersen for Royal Copenhagen. He is very stylish and stands on a lucite cube ice block. He measures approx. 10.5 inches tall and 11 inches long, and although not deco, I purchased him as part of a collection of bears, and thought him very stylish. Condition is good with just a few scratches to the lucite cube but no damages.
