Art Nouveau Bust by Goldscheider

Hand painted art nouveau white terracotta bust modelled on Cleo De Merode.

Marked with an impressed Friedrick Goldscheider Wien to the back plinth and reproduction reserve.

She measures 11 inches (28cm) high, 10 inches (25.5cm) wide, 4.5 inches (11.5cm) deep.

Condition is very good.

Small Art Nouveau Bust

French spelter art nouveau bust which we believe is by Emmanuel Villanis although it is unsigned.

The title is “La Cigale”.

C. 1910s/20s

Good condition with a few areas of minor patina loss.

6.5 inches (16.5cm) high.

Karl Gross – The Water Carrier

The Water Carrier by Karl Gross for Goldscheider modelled on Cleo De Merode.

c.1902.

Austrian art nouveau terracotta signed to the base.

The rear of the base is stamped with the Goldscheider marks and numbers – 2770 (model number) / 696 / 17.

I believe made in 3 sizes and this is the biggest.

Condition is very good.

33.5 inches (84cm) high.

Bronze plaque of liberty

French bronze plaque c. 1900 of the liberty imaged based on the Eugene Delacroix painting of liberty.She is wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with foliage. Original oak mount to rear with fixing for hanging. 'Liberte Egalite France' engraved on her strap. Not signed but is very good quality casting.

Very good condition.

10 inches (26cm) high, 8.5 inches (22cm) wide.

Antoine Dubois – Ceramic Clock Set

Rare Belgian art deco ceramic clock set made by the Belgian company of La Céramique Montoise in Mons.

Hand decorated in the studio of Antoine Dubois (1869-1949).

This clock set was made in the late 1920s - early 1930s.

Serial/model number to the reverse.

The clock measures 17 inches 43.5cm) wide, 13.5 inches (34.5cm) high and 4 inches 10cm) deep.

Each side dish measures 6.5 inches (16.5cm) square and 12 inches (30cm) high.

Condition is good but currently the clock isn't working.

La Ceramique Montoise was founded in 1920 by Antoine Dubois, Henri and Felix Souweine, Jules Deprez and Samuel Wolff. The company was taken over by Dubois son in 1949 and finally closed soon after the death of Dubois in 1950.
