It measures a tall 42 inches (107cm) high and the bottom base is 14 inches (35.5cm) square.

Condition is good with a few age related marks and small chips as one would expect. There is a small filled repair to the base where the wood has previously split.

French Art Deco wrought and marble topped side table/ jardiniere stand. Also suitable as a statue stand.

The base is of vintage portorro marble with a wooden top shelf painted to emulate the base marble. This top panel rotates.

39.5 inches (100.5cm) high. The base measures 9 inches (23cm) wide and deep and the top panel is 7 inches (17.5cm) wide and deep.

Condition is very good.

Fitted with green bakelite handle. Glass sliding doors and shelf, 3 drawers and lower cabinet with an inner shelf. The kick panel plinth is in a darker contrasting walnut veneer.

These cabinets and shelves were removed from the lounge in the famous Sea Lane House. 

Sea Lane house is an Art Deco house built in 1936, which was designed and built by Marcel Breuer. The furniture inside was also designed by Breuer. 

The house is now grade 2 listed and was the only house built in the UK by Breuer.

The house was constructed with brick and concrete, and items for sale here are believed to have been designed and made specifically for the building.

Marcel Breuer briefly studied art in Vienna before joining the Bauhaus in the 1920s. First a student and then a teacher, he became head of the celebrated furniture workshop. On leaving the Bauhaus, Breuer practised as an architect in Berlin before fleeing the Nazi regime and moving to London in 1935, where he stayed for two years. In 1939, he was invited by Walter Gropius (the founder of the Bauhaus and former teacher of Breuer) to work at Harvard University.
