Green patinated stylised early model car mascot by Artus who was an early Le Verrier artist who produced mainly bird statues like the Pelican.

Produced by the Le Verrier foundry it bears the signature Artus and the LV foundry stamp.

Mounted on a black marble base.

7.5 inches (19cm) high.

Condition is very good.

Modelled at the Paris zoo in the 1920s.

Mounted on a black marble base.

Signed under his back foot and bearing the foundry stamp.

Very good condition.

This statue appears in the Le Verrier book on page 274.
