Bronze Plaques by Bourdelle

A pair of bronze panels by Antoine Bourdelle. Probably originally made as appliques for a piece of furniture.

The plaque measures 5 inches (12.5cm) wide and 4.5 inches (11.5cm) high.

Antoine Bourdelle (1861 – 1929), born Emile Antoine Bordelles, was an influential and prolific French sculptor, painter, and teacher. His studio became the Musee Bourdelle, an art museum dedicated to his work, located at 18, rue Antoine Bourdelle, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, France.

Could be mounted and framed or applied to a piece of art deco furniture.
