Huge French gilt metal dancer wall lights, signed under the foot Gori. Although the design is very much similar to the Le Faguays Diane statue. They are a handed pair as one shows the front of the lady and the other the back. Probably produced in the 1970s but still highly desirable.
Each lady is mounted on a thick frosted glass panel with acid etched deco patterning in geometric shapes and sunray detail. To the back of each there are two bulb holders one to the top and the other to the bottom and they have 2 screw holes to mount them to the wall.
They are extremely heavy and measure a large 22 inches (56cm) high, 15 inches (38cm) wide and protrude 2.5 inches (6.5cm) from the wall.
They very rarely come up for sale and I have seen others on the internet for sale for as much as £14,000 the pair.
Condition is excellent.
