English art deco plaster lady lamp, made in the early 1930s. The early lady lamps had the chrome base like this one. The Leonardine company was based in Upper Holloway, London. They produced plaster statues, bookends table mirrors and lamps along with many wall masks. This ladies name was Ione and the model number was 219. They are now getting hard to find due to te fragility of the plaster. It is marked to the back of the base with the Leonardi initials and the registration number.
It measures 14 inches (35.5cm) diameter to the frosted glass panel which slots into a chrome holder. The chrome base of the lamp measures 10 inches (25.5cm) wide, 6 inches (15cm) deep. The lady is 12 inches (30cm) high and the total height is 14.5 inches (37cm).
Condition is vintage and good. There are some signs of surface cracking due to age but it is very sound.
