Surprise by Guerbe

A rare version of this piece know as Surprise by Guerbe. Guerbe was the wife of Pierre Le Faguays. This piece is normally seen as a vide pooch dish. I can only presume this is a very early one made before it was made as a dish version. I have never seen another with a marble base, but the piece is genuine and as it should be and although unsigned, definitely by Guerbe.

It measures 4.5 inches (11.5cm) long and 7.5 inches high (19cm).

In excellent vintage condition.
