Each signed to the onyx bases.

9.25 inches (23.5cm) high, 3 inches (7.5cm) wide, 3.5 inches (9cm) deep.

One base shows a small chip or possibly bruise to one corner, otherwise condition is very good.

]]> 107472 Large Diana with Fawns https://sheryls-artdeco.com/product/large-diana-with-fawns/ Fri, 13 Dec 2024 16:01:35 +0000 https://sheryls-artdeco.com/?post_type=product&p=106669 The famous French Art Deco patinated bronze statue known as Diana with Fawns by Marcel Bouraine.

This the largest version of this statue made in 2 sizes.

Signed to the bronze base socle Bouraine and bearing the Etling foundry stamp.

A similar one can be seen in the Catley book on page 50.

The lady has a silver patina and the deer have a green patina.

This statue rarely comes up for sale now - as people keep them in the collections.

It measures 24.5 inches (60cm) high to her top hand, 28.5 inches (73cm) high to the tip of her bow, 15.5 inches (40cm) wide & 5 inches (12.5cm) deep.

Condition is vintage but very original and good.

Signed to the marble “Gennarelli”.

A similar one can be seen in the Catley book on page 154.

Mounted on a brown onyx base.

Circa 1925.

Made in 3 sizes – this is the medium one. The 3 sizes are 14.5 inches (37cm) high, 23 inches (58.5cm) high and 34 inches (86.5cm) high!

I also have the largest one in stock (at time of writing), B756.

The base measures 11.5 inches (29cm) high and the bronze measures 10.5 inches (27cm) high. Total height 23 inches (58.5cm).

The condition is very good with a few age related marks and scratches to the patina.

A rare 1920s piece, with a  top quality casting by the Master of Art Deco statues, signed to the bronze. 

She sits mounted on a stepped onyx base.

A similar one can be seen in Chiparus book by Alberto Shayo on page 183.

I believe made in 2 sizes the larger one is 70cm long - see final picture below of this one next to the larger version (which I have for sale at time of writing. See B800).

This is the rarer smaller version and measures 21.5 inches (54cm) wide, 15 inches (38cm) high, 7.5 inches (18cm) deep.

Very good condition.

Mounted on  a tall Portorro Mable base and signed Lorenzl to the bronze socle.

The base measures 7.5 inches (19cm) height and the bronze measures 12 inches (30.5cm) high.

Total height is 19.5 inches (49.5cm) high.

Condition is very good.
