The famous French Art Deco patinated bronze statue known as Diana with Fawns by Marcel Bouraine.
This the largest version of this statue made in 2 sizes.
Signed to the bronze base socle Bouraine and bearing the Etling foundry stamp.
A similar one can be seen in the Catley book on page 50.
The lady has a silver patina and the deer have a green patina.
This statue rarely comes up for sale now – as people keep them in the collections.
It measures 24.5 inches (60cm) high to her top hand, 28.5 inches (73cm) high to the tip of her bow, 15.5 inches (40cm) wide & 5 inches (12.5cm) deep.
Condition is vintage but very original and good.
