A very rare french Aduie (Farewell) art metal statuary group made by the Le Verrier foundry during the 1920s. Modelled as a medieval maiden and horse. The statue is mounted on a black marble base which is signed Le Jan. Also shown is an original negative from the Le Verrier foundry showing the statue and one with a rearing horse. This same horse was also made on its own without the lady (see F3386)T
This same model can be viewed in the Le Verrier book on page 94 as a centre fold.
