This huge art deco statue dates to the 1920s/30s.
It is marked Marco as it is a marriage of artists. The male statue was designed by Max Le Verrier and is the same model that was used to produce Icarus. While the horse was designed by Charles Charles and was also made with a Diane on the horses back as Chevauchee. I currently have a chevauchee in stock (see F3334).
Produced by the Le Verrier foundry and marked to the back of the stone base Marco.
The horse is signed Charles to its back legs.
21.5 inches (54.5cm) wide, 19.25 inches (49cm) high, 6.25 inches (16cm) deep.
In good vintage condition.
