Polished aluminium armillary sphere mounted on a circular base.
These were originally used as an astronomical instrument representing the movement of the celestial bodies. I believe they later morphed into sundials. Wether this item is capable of being a sundial I don’t know. Perhaps it was made as a piece of articulated sculpture.
The inner circles independently move around the central planetary body.
Good condition – no damage.
