A rare French art deco amboyne wood bird advertising trinket dish. The bird has a phenolic lucite beak and feet. The pin tray is phenolic and has ladies stockinged legs around the bottom edge. An advertising piece to the top it reads bonneterie de luxe establishments ph. Haber Paris – hosiery de luxe. To the centre it is monogrammed PH. Under the base it is signed Fornells Paris. Fornells boxes etc are now highly sought after by collectors worldwide. This has probably come off of the counter of a Hosiery shop. Eduaurd Fornells worked in conjunction with Rene Lalique. A very rare find for collectors of Fornells.

Condition is good but there is a small slither chipping around the bottom edge of the dish base. The dish can be lifted from the base and is signed Fornells underneath.

It measures 4 inches (10cm) wide and 3.25 inches (8cm) high.
