Carlier – The Toga Dancer

A French spelter lady toga dancer, similar to the Godard bubble dancer and modelled on the same theatrical performance by Georgia Graves.

This one appears to be unsigned but undoubtedly by Carlier.

She is the larger version of two sizes made.

Mounted on a stepped triangular cream onyx and portorro marble pedestal base.

Condition is good although possibly re-patinated at some time. A finger repair is noted and can be shown in further pictures.

18 inches (46cm) tall.
