French art deco Celadon glazed lamp base.
Fitted with a contemporary shade.
Depicts a theatre scene in 3 separate areas. One scene is of a stylised jazz band playing a multitude of instruments, another depicts five nude female dancers (possibly Folies Bergere) lined up on a set of stairs and the final scene is the audience watching.
Fittings for twin bulbs and separate on/off pull chains as well as an in-line on/off switch.
Made in the 1930s and purpose made as a lamp base.
Indistinct writing underneath, possibly by the Robj company but we can’t be sure.
Very good condition although the screw to the top of the lamp is not original.
18.5 inches (47cm) high.
