Contemporary wall plaque depicting Diane the huntress with dog and deer standing amidst ferns, mounted on a curved glass backing. This plaque is made of gesso with silver leaf finish. The original of this plaque was made in 1929 for the Paris Exhibition by Celine Lepage and its title is Diane aux Fougeres (Diane with the ferns). It is mounted in an oak plinth which has two tea candles behind to illuminate it. It could however easily be converted to accept a small bulb which may be safer.
