Large French quality bronze figural group of a lady and borzois.
It has a lovely aged golden bronze patina and is signed in the bronze – Georges Coste.
It is also marked at the back ‘cire perdue’, which pertains to the lost wax method of production.
Georges Coste was an early 20th century sculptor and was a student of Boucher and exhibited figures and busts at Le Salon des Artistes, and was a winner of a third class medal in 1925.
The condition is excellent and very original with no damage or repairs.
The base measures 26 inches (66cm) long and 8 inches (20cm) deep. 13.5 inches 34cm) high.
