Icart by Max Le Verrier

French art deco dark green patinated Icarus statue made of art metal by the Le Verrier foundry. 

Designed by Max Le Verrier. This same male statue was also used on the Le Verrier Appell statue where the man is holding a horse and a trumpet. I currently have an Appell for sale – see F3387.

Icarus is mounted on a stepped black marble base.

19 inches (48cm) wide, 15 inches (38cm) high, 3.75 inches (9.5cm) deep.

Signed to his leg Le Verrier and bearing the foundry stamp.

In excellent condition.
