Large green patinated bronze mother and child statue by Marcel Andre Bouraine (1886 – 1948).

Its title is La Récréation (Playtime) and the terracotta version (which I also have) can be seen in the statuettes book by Alberto Shayo p61.

Signed to the bronze base and bearing the Susse Freres Paris foundry mark.

22 inches (56cm) long, 14.5 inches (37cm) high.

Condition is very good.
