Large Panther Marchant by Maurice Prost (1894-1967)

This French stylised panther was made in 3 sizes and this is the largest version.

I also have the smaller version (B755) as both a statue and as a desk tidy/inkwell set (B629).

It has a black patina and is signed to the black marble base M. Prost and bears the Susse Frer foundry mark.

25.5 inches (65cm) wide, 12 inches (30.5cm) high.

In very good condition.
