Rare black Art Deco ceramic tiger by Georges Lavroff and produced by the Paul Milet foundry at Sevres. This is the famous Lavroff Tigre (tiger). Signed to the base G. Lavroff and this one is also signed to the side of the tiger. The bronze version was made as a statue and also a very rare clock version. These ceramic ones were made in this black version, also a tiger stripe version (that I recently sold) and also as a cream crackle glaze version.
