Life Size Wall Mask by Jon Douglas

English hand painted life size plaster wall mask.

Modelled as a movie star and dating to the early 1930s after a design by Jon Douglas.

Douglas was rumoured to have had several relationships with movie stars who were the model for his masks.

I believe Vicki Lester was one of his models.

Signed to the back Jon Douglas Copyright No 3378, made in England.

In good vintage condition with just small lifting to there glaze on one of her fingers.

I have 2 of this same mask (PLQ1345).
