Large Italian hand painted ceramic statue of a female mermaid and child.

Designed by Abele Jacopi for the Lenci company in 1937.

Finely polychromed in bright vivid colours with Abel Jacopi inscribed to her tail.

Signed under the base Lenci.

A similar one can be seen in the Le Cermiche di Lenci book on page 223.

16.5 inches (42cm) high.

Condition is vintage but good.
