Huge 1920s French art deco terracotta theatrical wall mask. Stylised corn detail to her hair. This is one of a set of 5 large plaques removed from a theatre in Toulon, France. I have 4 plaques remaining, which are 2 matching pairs. There is a wire hanging hook to the top of the head. Made of terracotta with horse hair to strengthen and made in the 1920s. Ask for pictures of Plq1307 to see the other design.
This plaque measures a large 20.5 inches (52cm) high and 18 inches wide (46cm).
Condition is very good with some expected signs of ageing.
