Original French Theatre Wall Plaque

Another large 1920s French art deco terracotta theatrical wall mask with stylised floral detail to her hair. This is one of a set of 5 large plaques removed from a theatre in Toulon France. There is a wire hanging hook to the top of the head. Made of terracotta with horse hair to strengthen it and made in the 1920s.

Very good condition with minor signs of ageing.

17 inches (43cm) wide, 20.5 inches (52cm) high.
