An art deco desk ornament inkwell set with central silvered bronze panther signed M. Prost (Maurice Prost 1894 – 1967) to the marble and with the Susse Fres editors Paris mark. Also signed Delannoy to the silvered bronze ink wells and Susse Fres editors Paris.
I also have this same panther as a statue with a black patina in both the small version (B755) and the large (B795)
It was made in 3 sizes this is the smaller size
It measures 20.5 inches wide by 6 inches deep (52cm x 14.5cm).
Condition is good with expected age wear to the patina and a few minor marks to the marble.
