This is now an extremely rare ceramic statue by Raymonde Guerbe (the wife of Pierre Le Faguays).
Not many were made and fewer survived the war.
Made in the 1930s in a craquelier ceramic finish.
The Le Verrier ceramic items were produced in the 1930s when metal was not easily available due to the war.
She has a short bobbed hair style modelled after Louis Brooks the Hollywood movie star.
Signed to the back of the base R. Guerbe.
A similar one can be seen in the Le Verrier book on page 121.
13 inches (33cm) high.
In good condition with a repair to one corner of the base – which is barely noticeable.
