A very rare large wall charger by Phillippe Para for Longwy.

Marked to the back Orient Express even though the design is very similar to the large Longwy ball vase which I also own. The vase is by Danillo Curetti. The vase is called New York New York and was made in a limited edition of 50 pieces. I believe it was made in 1980.

This wall charger is titled Orient Express and is of the same design as the vase.

Finished with gold leaf paint around the border, again similar to the vase.

There are 2 holes in the back rim to hang it on a wire as a wall charger.

Marked to the back and signed Phillippe Para – again in a limited edition of 50 made and this is number 6. Stamped with thee same Longwy France mark as the vase.

Therefore its a bit of a mystery.

14.75. inches (37.5cm) in diameter.

Condition is very good with just a few minor age related scratch marks to the hull on both ships.
