Very rare double theatrical mask, made by Goldscheider and stamped Wien to the back with the model number 7891/33. These do not come up for sale very often as people tend to keep them in their collection and they are very rare.
One of the masks has been overpainted I am told from new to give it the antique look.
12 inches high (30cm).
Similar can be viewed in the Ora Pinhas book p171 and in the Filipp Goldscheider book p476.
Condition is very good with just one tiny edge chip to the inside of the bottom of the scarf edge to the back which you cannot easily see but you can feel it with your nail.
