An original large French art nouveau metal shop sign with green tinted glass lit from behind with its original lighting components.

There are hooks on either end to hang it from the ceiling by chains. This item is A shaped and therefore covered front and back with metal sheet.

The sign is signed and stamped in the brass pieces, and the cut out metal sheets – Siegel, who were a very famous shop fittings and mannequin suppliers in Paris.

The artist and designer designed many of the art deco Siegel shop fittings and mannequins of modernist form. Siegel items are now highly sought after.

We have two of these panels from the same store in Paris.

The light works, but should be checked by a qualified electrician before use as they are of considerable age. Probably would have indicated new, novelty items.

This is a large sign and measures 42.5 inches (108cm) long by total height of 9 inches (23cm) to the central scroll detail.

Condition is vintage and used but good.
