Silvered Bowl by Ravinet D’Enfert

Nice small French art deco silvered metal, lidded bowl with macassar ebony stem and top finial.

Stamped beneath Ravinet D’Enfert.

Very good condition.

5 inches (13cm) in diameter, 4 inches high (10cm).

Ravinet D’Enfert of Paris was originally founded in 1845 and was later bought by Louis Ravinet in 1882. Joined by Charles d’Enfert in 1891 the company then went by the name Ravinet D’Enfert and produced their range at the atelier in Rue du Temple, Paris.

The sons of the original Ravinet and D’Enfert took over the  running of the company in 1923 and produced good quality silverware and tableware until the company closed in 1984.
