This is a high quality, very large, hand painted copy of Tamara Lempickas famous “La Bella Rafaëla” sometimes known as just “Rafaëla”.
Oil on Canvas and mounted in an ornate wooden frame. Beautifully executed. A very impressive painting.
The subject of the painting is known to be a lover of Tamara Lempicka.
The original was painted in 1927 and sold recently for £7.47m in June 2025 at Londons Sotheby’s auction.
It is signed Louise Thornton to the bottom right corner.
Very good condition.
The frame measures 46.5 inches (118cm) wide, 34.5 inches (88cm) high.
