The Lovers By Bouraine

A pair of French bronze bookends modelled as lovers.

The boy as a Pierrot holding a bunch of flowers and the girl holds a love letter.

Both learn slightly outwards – we have no idea if they should but both are firmly held in place.

Both are signed in the bronze to the hem of their outfits.

Mounted on semi circular stepped verdigre marble bases.

She is slightly taller and measures 11.5 inches (29cm) high.
