Large French chryselaphantine art deco ice skater, wearing fur trimmed Russian hat, jacket and boots, by Enrique Molins Balleste.
Ivory head and hands and signed to the base – Molins. Circa 1928.
She measures a tall 23 inches (58.5cm) high
Base is made of portorro marble with an onyx top to emulate ice.
Only available for sale in the UK due to its ivory content.
In very good original condition with a good gilt and silvered patina.
Molins-Balleste, Enrique Henri (1893 – 1958) was born in Barcelona and later moved to Paris.
