An extremely rare and unique wall panel.
I believe made by the Rowley Galleries.
Each gilded gesso figure is signed “Chase”.
It depicts two dancing ladies and a pan flute figure moulded on a walnut back panel.
It was my understanding when I bought the panel some years ago that it was designed by chase for his home and produced by Rowley as a private commission.
The design for the pan flute player was actually used by the Rowley Gallery as their logo motif.
48 inches (122cm) wide, 30.5 inches (77.5cm) high.
It hangs on a chunky line chain.
Very good condition with only minor signs of aging as one would expect.
